Today, the NBA released its list of the most popular jerseys of the 2009-10 season. Brandon Roy found himself at #13, the first time a Blazer has appeared in the top 15 on this list in…who knows how long. I spent the entire day trying to look it up and could not find the information. The best I know is from InsideHoops.com who showed that Rasheed Wallace was 14th on the NBA list on December 3rd 2003, which I do believe was months before he was traded to the Hawks. I’d imagine Scottie Pippen was up there but I have nothing to back that up. Yes, I just pulled a TMZ on that last sentence (buh-dum-ching). The list was based on sales at the NBA Store in NYC and NBAStore.com. Quite an honor for Mr. Roy to find his jersey selling up there with some of these superstars.
So yes Blazer fans, puff your chest a little bit and be proud that your superstar’s jersey is kind of selling like hotcakes.
