So glad you're addressing the issue of minutes and rotation here, Coup. I completely agree that Nate has to be called out--at least, that's my interpretation of what you're saying. Two guys I kinda wanted to strangle by the end of the third quarter: LaMarcus and Nate. Granted, they're bigger and stronger than me.

Why oh why can't Nate use some common sense and stop playing Howard so many minutes against this team? Nate's got to adjust. More Cunningham--he matches up much better on Louis, Amare, and Frye. He can switch onto any of the smaller guys with a better shot of defending them than Howard. Dante's jumper is just as reliable as Howard's.

No way Rudy should be getting main rotation minutes right now. None. Meanwhile, Roy and Nic played 19 minutes each. What?! Roy should have started, no question. Bayless played well and I think he'll finish the series strong, but he encourages the pace that the Suns want to play.

Maybe you caught my tweet last night about this. The one lineup the Blazers absolutely need to have on the floor more than any other lineup: Dre, Roy, Nic, LA, Camby.

They played 0 minutes together last night. Not one second.

This one's on Nate. And it'd be damn nice if LaMarcus showed some muscle inside and grabbed some defensive rebounds. He can't be confused about getting called "soft" after a night like that. Oh, and those fade-away jumpers LA loves so much? Not sustainable. Get on the effing block, both ends. Ugh. That game was one the Blazers could have won.

Even when Martell was good -- in November and January -- he hasn't been great. In fact, this series doesn't suit him perfectly in that it would help if he could do much off the dribble. But yes, I agree he should be among the first off the bench, and in the first half. Don't we know enough about Webster by now that if you sit him all half, he might be a little screwed up in the second half?
