There are three individuals (3) who make a difference between this team being in the playoffs or the lottery. These three get the praise when things are rolling and deserve criticism when they are falling apart:

1. KP. Your luster has been fading. How do you sign P.Mills (an injured 4th string pg) to a contract when we had a clear need for a supporting cast vet 3/4/5. How nice would J.Collins look in a Blazer uniform right now?... or maybe the defensive presence of E.Udoka? EITHER would have contributed last night... instead we are left with no depth.

2. Coach Mc: You preach hustle-effort-defense-running, and we have seen none of it over the past week. While some will claim that a pro shouldn't require motivation, at the end of the day they're only human. Every now and then, even the best require a swift kick to the behind. Stop preaching and start kicking. Bye the way, loved watching the fourth quarter last night, down by 15, and the pgs walking the ball up the court. How about a fast walk, a jog, a light sprint, or maybe even a an old fashioned two handed chest pass across the time line. Save 5-6 seconds off the shot clock, multiplied by 25 fourth quarter possessions, equals just over 2 minutes of extra clock... gee, think we would have liked an extra two minutes at the end of the game?

3. B-Roy: You are the man. Stop worrying about who's doing what and saying what and shooting what. Feel free to take the game over when ever you want... like in the first quarter against Miami. Real all-stars and all-pros don't let their team get down by 30 or 20... ever. Feel free, also, to stop dribbling off your feet, getting shut down by rookie clowns like Jonas Jerebko (yes, he shut you down), and missing free throws.

Man, this one was still painful, like you said.

What does Bayless gotta do to get some run? How awful does Blake need to play to get benched? (At least he was out for a good stretch in the first and second.)

In Rudy's defense, it's really tough to get going on offense when you're in that kind of roll. Granted, Rudy does it quite often because he's such an amazing shooter, but some nights, you need to be in there for extended periods and you need to feel trusted.

Well hell, here's hoping LA is better by Saturday. But I don't see this team fixing all of its defensive woes in the very near future.

P.S. Love the Twitter grabs!
