JJ would be a fantastic No. 2 guy in the same vein as Caron Butler is to Gilbert, but he's expected to do too much. The real problem is they have too much money wrapped up in Josh Smith, who hasn't nearly produced on their investment. To me, they are more like Denver pre-Chauncey than the Blazers anymore. I have felt that the thing holding them back was intensity. That's why it shows up on the defensive side first. They have nasty talent and it shines through on the offensive side, whether or not the intensity is there. Just my 2 cents.
