ESPN forecasts Blazers in three hole

Posted by: Coup

Well, the folks over at the mouse have us dropping back to 52 games, but finishing third in the Western Conference. Mass company polling like this doesn’t mean much more than shouting out questions to random tables at Buffalo Wild Wings this time of year, but it does give you a preview of house ESPN might be approaching the Blazers on their broadcasts this year. Here’s what they said:

Can Portland become the proverbial “team nobody wants to face” in the Western Conference playoffs? Or are they ready for true contender status? Expectations are large, as are the variables: Can Greg Oden find himself? How will Andre Miller’s go-go style mesh with the walk-it-up Blazers? And who’s the starting point guard, anyway?

Doesn’t sound like announcers will be holding on to the youth card for dear life this year. Just a side-hint ESPN, things like this are much more interesting when you can see how people voted.
