I think Nate says things sometimes to start something up with the team. I also think there are potentially wrong mixes with this team...situations where certain players wouldn't mesh well. Honestly, I don't think Nate knows yet. He'll find out a lot more about this team in September/October. I hope Oden starts. I believe this team is as good as it is because of Brandon and LMA, but it's going to get where it's going because of Greg Oden. I'm still a believer. He doesn't need to score 20 and 14 every night...just be a force. So my lineup of choice would be: 1. Miller (because I believe he will involve Oden and I don't believe for a minute that he can't flourish next to Roy..don't have time or space to get into it here). 2. Roy 3. Webster/Batum (If Batum can continue doing what he's been doing in Europe, start him. I want him on the Kobes, James and Durants. If not, start Webster. We need another 3 point shooter to spread the floor. 4. LMA 5. Oden Leaving us a bench of: Batum/Webster (see above) Pryz Rudy Blake/Outlaw (1 or both will likely be traded) Bayless, Cunningham, Pendergraph will have splinters in their rears all season...barring the unforseen. McMillan wants a 8-9 player rotation. No more. I agree with some of your points, disagree with others. I think Nate says things sometimes to start something up with the team. I also think there are potentially wrong mixes with this team…situations where certain players wouldn’t mesh well.

Honestly, I don’t think Nate knows yet. He’ll find out a lot more about this team in September/October.
