I love the signing... This really adds such a crazy dimension to the team and adds the pick and roll factor. This will make Oden better, LMA better, Roy better... Everybody better.. They can put a "big" lineup out that will be a matchup nightmare. I would be really excited to see Hinrich brought in or Bayless givin more minutes... Bayless will give that explosive slash to the rim factor we need from the point. Im really looking forward to seeing Hedo move between SF and Point Forward.... Very exciting time to be a Blazer fan indeed

Not sure what KP can offer Dice after using the cap space on Hedo. Pretty sure they don't have a midlevel exception this year.

I'd love to get Dice, Brandon Bass or Leon Powe (health providing) as the backup 4, but I'm guessing we enter the season with Pendergraph backing up LMA in limited minutes, and Turkoglu playing some minutes there as well against some lineups.

The Blazers still need a back up power forward and IMO Antonio McDyess is that player that they need at that spot.
Mark ‘Dyess’ down for a double-double each night. After re-joining Detroit mid-season, the polite veteran posted a workmanlike 10 points and 10 rebounds per game. McDyess could replace Yao in Houston, where he, coincidentally, has his off-season home. Make him an offer KP and let him know Portland is where he needs to be if he wants a RING. The Blazers need McDyess as their back up power forward/Center.

Double teaming is not exactly a foreign idea to the Blazers. The guys that would torch Hedo (like Kobe) would draw doubles regardless.

If Batum is in the game, who initiates the offense while Roy is doubled?

If Outlaw is in the game, who doubles off their own man to help on Outlaw's? And then who helps initiate the offense?

The questions you're asking can be asked about anybody. Hedo might not be athletic enough to guard the best scorers in the league, but how many people are? Hedo's at least intelligent enough to push his man toward the center, and thus the trap, as he showed in Orlando.

One questions:

On defense who is going to guard their own man and Turkapoos?
