Crystal Ball Time:
I'm calling it. Blazers 94, Nuggets 93. It'll be hard-fought and meaningful, as Houston's gonna take out the Mavericks (IN DALLAS!). The Nuggets will grasp this in the second half and play their asses off. Good, Bad & Ugly. Beating LA was lovely with two of the planet's best athletes going shot for shot in the second half. This one will be brutal. Portland's bench will outscore Denver's and Roy & Co. will win it with defense. "De-Fense"!

The Chauncey-J.R. combo is the type that gives Portland fits. We can defend guard penetration, we can guard perimeter shooters, but it doesn't seem like we can do both simultaneously (speaking in generalities here). J.R's been ridiculous from three's the last couple weeks. Did anyone see the Utah-Denver game a week or two back? Kyle Korver was absolutely owned. J.R. even gave him a little reassuring pat on the butt for letting him get off three after three after three. And 11-for-freaking-18 two nights ago against Sacramento??? I mean I know it was Sacramento, but Christ J.R.

Scary. Here's to hoping the Nuggs get trigger-happy from the perimeter and leave the paint alone. Don't leave me cuddling my bankie tonight with a pint of ice cream and reruns of the 2000 WCF playing on TV while I cry myself to sleep...

One other thing though, SJ:
"I’ll put the Men’s Warehouse guarantee on that one."

So what you're saying is... if our heads explode...

We'll like the way we look, you guarantee it?
