Before I get to the much maligned Isiah Thomas…a couple sidenotes. First off, turns out that little tangent I wrote about the Celtics’ D was not far off at all. Yes people you are in the presence of a mini-genius and you may now bow accordingly. Thank you. I’m very curious as to why no one in the world is apologizing to Doc Rivers. Especially you Coup. I told you all (scan the archives) that this is the perfect team for him to coach. Superstars and veterans, sure enough he’s doing his thing. The same people who dogged him to [...]

Zeke’s Last Stand?
Thursday Night Thoughts
I refuse to over-do my assessment of the Knicks performance. It would be easy to call them the worst team to ever grace a basketball court after what happened tonight but I refuse to do that. I’m not Tony Schiavone. However that was absolutely pathetic and was an effort that should cost Isiah Thomas his job…but won’t. Let it be known, when the Knicks are bad…they are REALLY F’N BAD.
Their offense was absolutely horrific. If a perimeter player wasn’t going one-on-one, they threw it into the post and watched. I’m glad Zach Randolph had a meeting with Isiah and brought [...]
The Dunleavy Effect
My apologies Project readers. A combination of a week in Maui, having to catch up with classes and get ready for finals has left me like Britney Spears’ two kids: dazed and confused. But regardless of what I think about this blog post, it will be finished and it will be posted damnit.
The most bewildering team to really get a read on: The Indiana Pacers. I’m going to go ahead and say they are the most inconsistent team in the NBA. They remind me of the Carolina Panthers back when they were halfway decent. Indiana wins their first three [...]
Shortest Post Ever
Anderson Varejao, shut the hell up.
The Last Laugh
It’s funny, I really hated that Tyrus Thomas for LaMarcus Aldridge trade when we first did it. All the hype was on Thomas and LaMarcus was one of those guys I thought should have definitely stayed. Now Tyrus is driving Scott Skiles crazy while LaMarcus is thriving. I love it.
This next week will really determine just how for real the Magic are. So far they are an impressive 12-3. Even more impressive about that record is the fact that they are 7-1 on the road with that one loss being at San Antonio. They are the only team to have [...]
Rambling
You had to know I would come back at your Ramble.
I’m not impressed with Dallas at all. As far as I’m concerned they will not be winning the NBA Championship. I would almost guarantee that. Regardless of record, in my head they are the #3 team in the West and that’s mainly based on their reputation. Utah is damn good and I would say that Utah would beat Dallas in a 7-game series. Also Coup you draw my ire because you refuse to give the Celtics love and say people are sleeping on Dallas. Come on man.
“Too many people are [...]
Righteous Ramble
So nice to have a couple days off from…everything. Which means I’ve got plenty of time to be here.
First off, it was a sad day for the NFL with the official retirement of Priest Holmes. He was already a good story just coming back and showing small flashes of his former self, but he could have been a great story filling in the rest of the season for Larry Johnson. Not everyone gets the storybook endings — unless your Ricky Williams apparently, who doesn’t even have to battle Ronnie Brown right now. How bitter would you be if you were [...]
Today’s Picks
The Late Late picks. Steve is at the holiday tournament in Hawaii so I don’t think his picks are coming in on time. We’ll just say we picked the same and call the week a wash.

Thursday Night Thoughts
Before I get to the usual thoughts on the Thursday night doubleheader…I absolutely have to deviate from hoops for a quick second. I definitely have a couple things to say.
Unbelievable that the Arizona Wildcats knocked off the #2 Oregon Ducks in football tonight. So unfortunate that Dennis Dixon misplanted on his bad knee. I mean normally that’s something you can shake off, but when you bend an already hurt knee in a way it’s not supposed to be bent it’s ugly. The rest was just difficult to watch. Growing up in Oregon I never really got all the Duck out [...]
The Oden is Growing
Anyone interested in how Greg Oden is doing while he’s sidelined, read Blazer Beat Writer Jason Quick’s short blurb. That’s scary.
As for his knee, everything I have read about it has said the rehab is going perfectly. If we haven’t figured it out already, Greg is a freak of nature.
