And We’re Off

The Project is here and here to stay baby. Personnally I’m excited to have an outlet to express myself that is not a Facebook note. As Coup said, we are indeed die-hard Blazer fans. And I still have nightmares where Shaq appears out of nowhere, screaming, hands in the air pointing to Kobe with his armpit hair. *shudder*

I am tired of having to listen to talking idiots. Skip Bayless is too easy of a target (he looks like he should be on Project Runway) so I am attacking Tim Legler. Now why am I supposed to listen to a guy who never played a full season? I could understand if he was talking about a guy’s shooting mechanics, or if he was hot, or something like that. That is his expertise, he is one of the top-5 best shooters of all time (percentage wise, whether you like it or not). But don’t talk to me about LeBron this or Carmelo that. I can’t stand how the media builds them up only to cut them down. Anyone remember when LeBron was the King…then he phones it in…but now he’s back. Right? It’s crazy. I can understand disagreeing and having arguments but come on now people.

The new target is Gibert. At first his “quirks” were great. Now they are horrible. The best thing about Gilbert is a) he worked his tail off and overcame every hurdle in front of him and b) he is not afraid to be himself. As a fan you can relate to Gilbert. For pete’s sakes he made bets with fans?? I am actually glad that Gilbert has decided to be Gilbert this year. I remember thinking during the summer when Gilbert began his frusration over being left off Team USA…I thought he was almost too bitter. Like he almost took everything and used it to feed himself. But he is just a regular guy. He has a blog just like me. But just because he fell way short of dropping 50 on the Blazers (you really think Nate plays that? Come on now) does not mean he is all of a sudden the anti-christ people.

Now with some random thoughts before I watch my Lady Devils try and get to the Final 4.

• The Blazers will be back when they get rid of Zach Randolph and Darius Miles.
• Josh McRoberts is a moron for going to the league. I don’t see how you can average 13 and 7 and think it is going to get much better in the L.
• If Florida does not win the National Championship, Joakim Noah is going to be haunted by the fact that he did not go to the L after last year. He deserves it for haunting me with his “dancing”
• Nascar Now is terrible.
• Maria Sharapova is the rare combination of being extremely good looking and very good at what she does. For the WNBA to ever truely blow up they are going to need someone really bomb to average like 30.
• Over/under on Facebook friend requests for Jill Noe after today; 120. Yeah..she’s from Oregon.
